Heather Foley, PharmD, ACPR

Heather Foley, PharmD, ACPR

President

As a member of the first graduating class at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, Heather Foley is a new graduate on a mission to discover all there is to know about the profession of pharmacy. After completing Hospital Residency training at Windsor Regional Hospital, she has gone on to work in hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, primary care pharmacy, academia and even a small time in telepharmacy. Heather is currently fulfilling two professional roles: as a student coordinator for the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, and as a pharmacist-turned- case manager involved with transitions of care at a Family Health Team in Chatham. As a pharmacist, Heather’s dream is for every Canadian patient to have a medication list, developed by their pharmacist, that contains only medications which are indicated, effective, safe and convenient, and one which is available to everyone on the health care team. Heather is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Essex County Pharmacists Association Board of Directors and looks forward to working together with all of the members over the next couple of years to maintain and expand the successes and traditions of ECPA!

Barry St. Pierre

Barry St. Pierre

I’ve been involved with ECPA since graduation in 1965. I’ve been a member of the executive since 1967 and president in 1968 and 1969. In 1979  I was elected Treasurer and Membership chairman and have held those positions until just recently.

In 1966 I purchased the Adams Drug Store on Ottawa Street at Lincoln. In 1970 I formed a partnership with Leon Lennon who had a pharmacy at Ottawa Street and Hall Avenue which we closed and the new name was St. Pierre – Lennon Pharmacy. In October 1983 we sold to Big V Pharmacies and moved the pharmacy to Ottawa and Gladstone then known as St. Pierre Big V. I managed this pharmacy for 2 years then did relief (Floater) work 2 years and in summer of 1977 started in at DeRe Big V with Patty Paraschak as manager. I stayed with Patty until after the move by Shoppers Drug Mart to a new location across the street. I retired from Shoppers Drug Mart in March 2016 – A GREAT CAREER.
